Busiest month of the year, on the busiest section of the camino. Book it, without delay. My wife and a friend of hers will be in that area at the same time and facilities are filling already -

There are plenty of beds. Many are not bookable like at the Xunta albergues. That's where we stay. I would book in Santiago though and maybe your first night in Sarria.

Are you staying in albergues? Then yes. If you are staying in hotels and private rooms, no.

After @peregrina2000's response, with which I wholeheartedly agree, I would only add that I have always carried a sleeping bag and liner. Even in mid-Jun, I have used them, albeit at that time the bag was more often used as a quilt. Her comments...
