Wisely: Must you have Camino Places app for Frances app to work?

After putting the Wisely Camino Places free app on my phone, I bought its associated Frances app. Do I need to keep both apps on my iphone for the Frances app to work? (Would like to delete the 400MB Camino Places and keep just the 60MB Frances).

Does anyone know if the Frances-only app works well on an Android phone? I'm unable to use the Wisely app because it crashes on both my Androids. I don't want to buy the Frances app unless it works better on this platform. Thanks.

The old Wise Pilgrim app always crashed on my android phone, but the Wisely app seems to work fine. That said, I mostly use the Buen Camino app.
