He Said

The woods..are lovely dark and deep
But there is many miles more before i sleep
Deep in shadow
The old gods keep their tally
In vale and hollow and in valley

Deep in their ashes
Old wood and leather lashes

The old gods sleep
Yet..the winds still stir the ashes

The wind remembers
Of fuel,spark and fire
Hope stirs the potash stains
Searching for any sparks remains

Potters fields
Where no name remains

There are no sparks among the masses
Oh fy nghalon
Where have people gone..whispers wind among the ashes

Fingers...stir
A heart beats
A spark

The old ones look up from the bannock
Whispers astir...
To you? A leafy whim ascribed to wind

The old man..knobbed fingers draw down his beard..the fizzy sound of grey hairs moving
Memories of when meat was red and blood ran with fire
You see him look up from his cups
Do you see the young man he used to be..

Maiden fair with Golden Hair
Deirdre stood upon the hill
Strong of limb and mirth and whim
She smelled of heather and of leather
Sorrows lot fell without a thought
Her fate a swallowed pill.

Bourn are sorrows
Are mans tomorrows
As raindrop lead to ocean
No bill to pay on ferrys way
Were delt the cards to play.

The winds bestir the change
And ashes...smolder gains
The young man travels on

The Paternoster lake off in the west
Many trails are hidden
Many in our hearts weve yet to divine
But those tributaries are revealed
In time.

Pilgrim
The calling comes unbidden
Follow your spark as wind and time depart

The woods..are lovely dark and deep
But there is many miles more before i sleep
Deep in shadow
The old gods keep their tally
In vale and hollow and in valley

slowly interestedly
i felt another mystery
gradually as i keep
eek, i felt spooky....:p
