Sarria to Madrid airport

Hello, this year we will end our "camino week" in Sarria. Does someone know how to go from Sarria to Madrid Airport ? Until now I have found only a train at 11:36 am and allowing to be at the airport around 5:30 pm .I would like to arrive earlier. Do you any other solution (Bus or train doesn't matter)

So in a first intention I have thought that a return flight between Paris/MAdrid was the easiest but maybe you have another more convenient solution ?

There's a relevant piece of info missing: your travel date(s).

Vueling has on some dates non-stops flights from Santiago de Compostela airport to Paris so they could be an option to consider for the return leg if there's a non-stop flight on your departure date. To get from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela you could take a direct bus with www.monbus.es (except weekends and public holidays) or go changing buses in Lugo (more services and they run daily): Monbus from Sarria to Lugo and Empresa Freire (www.empresafreire.com) from Lugo to Santiago de Compostela (some of the Empresa Freire buses from Lugo stop at the airport of Santiago de Compostela).

If the option of flying back with Vueling suits you, you could take a one way flight with EasyJet (or whatever airline offers the cheaper flight on your travel date) from Paris to Madrid. Alternatively, you could look too for a one way flight with Vueling from Paris to Asturias Airport (airport code: OVD) although non-stop flights from Paris to Asturias with Vueling aren't daily so they might not suit you but take a look anyway just in case that option worked well on your travel date. You could easily reach León both from Madrid airport and from Asturias airport.

P.S.: You could also go back by surface transport either by train (overnight train from Sarria to Valladolid -daily except Saturdays- plus train from Valladolid to Hendaye plus another one from Hendaye to Paris) or by a mix of bus and train (bus from Sarria to Lugo, overnight bus from Lugo to Irún, Euskotren train from Irún to Hendaye, and train from Hendaye to Paris). You have other options if you don't bother to make an overnight stop along your route. And if you were interested, you would have surface transport options to go from Paris to León too...

You might want explore websites for the various airports in the area. Galicia has three: Santiago, Vigo, and A Coruna. They sometimes have flights to Paris but more usually there is a connection required at either Barcelona or Madrid. It might even be cost and time efficient to fly via London ... if you can get a flight in and out the same airport. See the Aena page.

The trains go to Irun/Hendaye or Barcelona where you can take SNCF services to Paris. Its about the same travel time each way.
