Weaning myself from the forum...and my virtual camino family

Time of past OR future Camino
Various 2014-19
Via Monastica 2022
Primitivo 2024
Since I returned from my last camino in April I've spent way too much time here...but have found your company on the virtual road most enjoyable!
Tomorrow I set out again for Asia (2 months in very rural northern India) and there will be neither the opportunity nor the space to connect. Life in full color...I'm excited and very much look forward to returning to the high mountains of Ladakh...and to the people there.
So wanting to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone here. This may be 'only' a forum, but it is indeed a family.
Adios for now...I'll be back from time to time to see how you all are but not so frequently--but will be wishing you well on your journeys, inner and outer....
Ta taaaaa! :)
[And a PS to offer a special thank you to Ivar for creating this sane corner of the internet in the first place!]

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Viranani, enjoy your sojourn. I’m sure you’ll sneak the occasional peak on the forum. Earlier this year while travelling in Bhutan I couldn’t help myself and every few days (while checking work emails) I 'checked in’ here to peruse the latest posts. Maybe I’m addicted too ;)

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.

God's speed and save travels. -
Blessed spaces there where you travel ... you'll hear the mountains sing again. lucky you!
:-)

Thank you all!
Amorfati, I am blessed indeed...I'll be walking with a group of beloved Swiss friends. They all seem to have the ability to run up mountains from birth and could probably carry me if they had to (they won't...but it's reassuring anyway;)).

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Will miss you but hope you will have a time filled with wonder. The camino an I hope the Forum will always be here for you when you return. We Are family. :)

ah --- you'll be in fine company :)
(i'd be a slow goat up the mountain, but i'll be getting there eventually. Some mountains will make ones heart soar - seems like there's lots of soaring in store !! :-)
happy trails to you and your fellow friends

Viranani - happy travels and happy trails.

The camino awaits for you upon your return

:)

I spent much time in the region. First walking from Rawalpindi in Pakistan to Lahore. Later on to Old Delhi. Up into northern India , Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. I was honored to travel with an expat Brit whose familial ties to the area go back to the British East India Company. Though the Thugees were primarily in central India, there are remnants farther North.

God Bless and protect you.

Vanakham Virinani, I've spent the past nine years in southern India; three months of the year. I agree, I don't do Facebook but this has to be next best thing, if not the best. I'm a newbie and cannot say enough about the support, helpfulness and kindness exhibited consistently. I don't know what Ivar did before, but her certainly has outdone himself with this forum. I wish all good wishes for your venture in India. Much of my heart is always there. Maggie

Packed, about to go to the airport and out of cyberspace.
I had been thinking of a week on the camino in August to pick trash...but yesterday something came up and I realized that was a pipe dream. So I put my pack away...perhaps to come out in 2016?
This won't be the adventure you had, Arn (wow!)--those possibilities are gone these days--but more than anything else it will be a journey of the heart.
Maggie, from time to time I get to Tiruvannamali...love the South of India. And Ladakh...it is like Tibet. Very special.
Heartfelt thanks and many blessings to all of you! I will be sending much well-wishing for safe and buen caminos!!
