Pilgrim Mass in Santiago

Will there be a pilgrim mass in Santiago on Sunday, 7 June? If so, at what time? Is there somewhere I can look to check the schedule of pilgrim masses in Santiago during 2015?

Will there be a pilgrim mass in Santiago on Sunday, 7 June? If so, at what time?

Yes, at noon. There is no guarantee of the Botafumeiro, though.

The Pilgrims’ Mass
The Pilgrims’ Mass is usually held at 12 noon in the Cathedral. During Holy Years there may be more than one Pilgrims’ Mass each day. The Pilgrims’ Mass is well attended and pilgrims who wish a seat should arrive early. Priests who wish to concelebrate at the Pilgrims’ Mass should go to the sacristy at 11.45 am.

At the beginning of the Mass a list is read out of the number of pilgrims who have been received in the Pilgrims’ Office in the last 24 hours, where they come from and where they started their pilgrimage.

Masses at the High Altar in the Cathedral

At 9.30 am the Mass is sung by the Chapter of Canons of the Cathedral. This Mass begins with Laudes.

List of Mass times: 9.30, 12.00, 18.00 (only on Saturdays) and 19.30

Sundays and Feast Days: 10.00, 12.00, 13.15, 18.00 and 19.30
