We are a retired couple who wants to go by bike from P to S. How do we do? Where can we rent a bike? We would like to have comfortable normal bike. We don´t think we can manage a mountain bike. Is it possible to return the bike in S?

Consider Bike Iberia. they will deliver bikes to P for you and pick up at S. Our family did this summer of 2012 May-June. They have comfortable bikes. Consider woman's low bar, which they have. Should have rented one for my wife but she survived a men's bike.

I´m still looking for the best way of renting the bike. I might be stupid but what is suspension?? Is there anywhere I can rent a normal womans bike with good tyres and comfortable saddle and it is enough with 7 gears for me.....If I rent it in Ponferrada is it then possible to start in O Cebreiro I meen is it possible to take a bus or taxi up to that place and start there?

Hi there

I would say any "decent" rental company would be able to drop your bike anywhere. Personally...I would suggest you book your accommodation at O'Ceberio and then arrange for the bike to be delivered there. You may want to check with the accomodation that this is ok. (Im pretty sure it will be).

You will be able to bus to O'Ceberio. I dearsay taxi as well although im not positive on that one....

There is NO bus service either to or from O Cebreiro. The closest town (4 km) to O Cebreiro which has bus service is Piedrafita do Cebreiro. For buses to Piedrafita do Cebreiro from Santiago see this listing from the Galician tourist office , Turgalicia. >> http://www.turgalicia.es/bono-iacobus-c ... ngId=en_US
