Godgle says “No”. There’s unlikely to be a Bureau de Change in StJ. Although it sits on a national border it isn’t an international entrepôt nor does it sit on a currency border.
ATM’s are effective Bureaus de Change. If you’re trying to launder a few k/$ in loose folding then Paris or Bordeaux offer the best opportunities but the worst exchange rates
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Exactly, even the worst ATM charges don't compare to the abysmal commission rates of the old exchange bureau.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Thread 'Buying an Apartment in Spain?'
Bit of wishful thinking here. We were looking at our options over lunch today. I'd love to retire, but can't unfortunately. But I can work remotely. And ease back my working hours a bit. I'm hoping to walk a fair few more Caminos before age and ill health catches up with me. So living in Spain for a few months each year is a possibility. Potentially we could downsize here, and buy a small apartment/studio somewhere fairly central, and take breaks of a few days from work to go walk...- Robo

Thread '447,704 and still counting!'
When the Santiago pilgrim office opened this morning the running total of Compostelas issued for this year stood at 445,807. Today they handed out another 1,897. Making the new total for the year to date 447,704. More than were issued in the whole of 2023 (446,078) which was itself a new record year. And there are still nearly 3 months left of this year.- Bradypus
