Credencial in Oviedo

Hi, is it practical to get my 'credencial' in Oviedo? I thought it would be somewhat symbolic to get it at the Cathedral before starting my Primitivo Camino. Any specifics/problems I should know of in waiting till I get there to get mine? Thanks

You can get the pre-stamped credencial at El Escorialín, the tourist information pavilion, rather than having to wait for the cathedral office to open.

8am weekdays, 10am at the weekend.

The cathedral has late afternoon hours as well. Just check around once you arrive.

I got mine at the Albergue de peregrinos de Oviedo even though I didn't stay there.
