Blister help in Santiago

Hey all! We finished our Camino yesterday and are in town for 2 more days before onward travel. I need somewhere to get my feet checked. I've got large blisters on the balls of both feet, that I've had since day one of our Camino from Sarria, and they probably need to be checked. Any suggestions of a podiatrist/clinic close to the Cathedral, or I guess anywhere that would see a peregrina, would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck! I was very thankful for seeing a podiatrist. He cleaned my blisters and gave me a care regimen that had me going again after a rest day.

I recommend blister patches that you leave on until it fully heals. I only had one blister because my toes got wet and it worked well.

For the future walks, I recommend purchasing Wrightsocks that are double layered. Use vaseline on your feet and then put the socks on.
I received this tip before my first Camino Frances and only experienced one blister because of getting wet.
On the Camino Portuguese I had none.
I also used the Dr Scholls foot machine at walmart to get insoles custom for my feet.
Because of the volume of Pilgrims, there must be a qualified Doctor in Santiago to consult with.

I went here: Clínica de Podoloxía Cepeda, Rúa de San Paio de Antealtares, 6, Bajo, 15704 Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Spain, last week and got excellent blister relief after having extensive blisters from walking in to Santiago (despite shoes 1/2 size bigger, Vaseline every day, toe silk liners, and merino wool socks). Was able to wear hiking sandals and walk to Finisterre afterwards. They don't speak English but they use Google Translate and saw me within an hour.

You can also go to the local health clinic.

I used merino socks, vaseline, changed my socks during the hike and would switch to hiking sandals for the last hour or so of the day. I'd used the same system training for walks up to 25k before I started the camino.

Despite this I only made two days walking before developing a massive blister on my toe.

I give up.
