Camino Invierno October 2022
My mate Pete from Orange took me on my first camino in 2008, and I will alays be grateful. Pete heads off on a holiday to Ireland and England next week, and then after that flies to Spain to walk the Invierno from Ponferada. Oete is 85, and had a double knee repacement 12 months ago. I am so much cheering him on!!!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

So will I! I’m 81 and would love to do the Portuguese. Did the Francis in 2017. Was thinking I’m too old. Hope Pete can keep us up to date with his walk.

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
I spoke to Pete yesterday, and he is back in Australia after successfully walking the Invierno in 11 days! He rewarded hmself with 2 nights in the Parador.

Good onya Pete!!

If we both live long enough we may get to share that bottle of red.

I went to a special occasion barbeque at Petes' place one evening, and we shared a 1978 Grange, followed by a '79 Grange [which as the pick of the two]. I don't think Andrew is quite up for buying one of those. But i'm sure he would come up with a decent offering. We will patiently wait.

Just stumbled into this wine party a wee bit late.

Um. Alan, how old did you say he was?
It took me comfortably in one day more than that. Sheesh.
But good on him! What an inspiration.
