Time of past OR future Camino
Portuguese Way September 2017.
French Way May 2018.
Planning some sort of camino for Sep 2019..
Hey all :) I leave for St Jean this Thursday and just realised can’t bring poles on Ryanair unless bag is checked which mine isn’t. Are there places to buy them in St Jean and would I get decent ones at a reasonable price? Thanks!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Where are you flying into. Let's say it's Madrid. There you would have to go from the airport to the Attocha Train Station. There's a Decathlon about 6 blocks from Attocha

Into Biarritz.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Yea no problem, the shop near the pilgrim office has loads of choice, from a simple wooden “pilgrim” stick to premium walking poles.

I just bought some hiking poles in the shop just down from the pilgrim office last week. They were very helpful in helping me choose and also in showing me the best way to use them.

I got one of these, put my backpack in it with my poles and checked it in. That was on the way back because I had bought them in Pamplona. Buen Camino. Screenshot_20230512_124747_takealot.jpg
