We Just Came From There - The Napoleon Route - April 17,'13

I agree completely with you and trust me I only walk in the summer because I hate the snow and cold. My point is your photo and the date stamp would lead a lot of pilgrims to believe March 10, 2015 was like a walk in Central Park in May.

Central Park in May? Warm breezes. Flowers. Birds chirping, Children laughing in the playgrounds.
Not my experience on the Camino in May in 2013. Mud, rain, ice.
Nevertheless, I'm going back for more!

I have no clue how to change the date stamp, but maybe you could change the header to show when you took the picture. Central Park in May is like Paris or Hyde Park in June unless you are from Sydney when Hyde Park is at its best in October, as well as I remember.

Paul, thanks for the date change. On 20/3/15 it looks grim. I just met a friend who was going on and on about how great the skiing is right now.

We had snow and lots of cold - late April, early May. I missed heavy snow at O'Cebreiro in October. The shoulder seasons on the Camino are just that.

The chosen route of Napoleon for his army to enter and exit Spain for the Peninsular War (1807-14). The route also used by medieval pilgrims to avoid bandits in the Valcarlos valley.
