Use one of the many sites that show the live radar data. That way you can see what is actually happening rather than relying on the mostly poor predictions.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I use three sources, Windy, The Weather Channel and SAT24, which covers Europe and is a web site. The first two have apps. Between the three I can cobble together a current and reasonable future forecast, which includes radar and Sat. imaging.
