As a vegetarian, I was afraid it would be difficult to find meals on the Camino Frances. After walking 7 stages, I have been very impressed. Even some pilgrim menus have been altered for me. I never went hungry. And ate a wide variety of veggies and fruits. I wasn’t just filling myself up on bread and potatoes. Kudos to the chefs!😘

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

This is great to read ❤️ thank you for sharing. I walked the CF in 2018 as a vegan and never went hungry! Chickpeas and raw veggies never tasted so gorgeous as they did at the end of a Camino day! 😊💚💚💚 There's also a Facebook group 'Vegetarians and Vegan on the Camino' which is handy, plus the ever-awesome Happycow app. All good news ☺️

I eat some meat, but all of my favorite meals were the vegetarian/vegan ones! They were the most creative, delicious, and by far the most nutritious and healthy ones. After a few carb heavy meals, I sought out the vegetarian albergues because I knew that they had fresh veggies. There were some random donativos (just before Astorga comes to mind) where there were huge spreads of good healthy food too. God Bless all those wonderful hosts and chefs!
