Hello all!
I am considering walking a route in France in 2020 and before I research all of the forum posts on the Tours route, I thought maybe I could find out quickly a couple of things for starters by asking those who have walked it before. 1) I prefer 20-25k per day. Is there enough infrastructure for lodging and food without trudging greater distances?
2) I have walked the Le Puy as far as Auvillar and found it beautiful. Anyone know how the Tours compares to the Le Puy?
Thanks for now! I await your replies!

I've walked only 60km if this from Aulnay to Saintes. 3 nights and 3 days. Aulnay has a tiny hostel right in the town, it sleeps 6 in one bunk room. Has kitchen facilities and one shower room. Good, clean and cheap.
Sadly the Abbaye Royale in St. Jean d'Angely no longer offers accommodation. I did have excellent dinner b and b with a delightful couple , village near Fenioulx . From there to Saintes where there is a small auberge by the St Eutrop church , plus a youth hostel and many other options. Pons has pilgrim and other accommodation.

I have also walked from Saintes to Blaye but only ever done these stages in odd day walks then returned to base so can't help with accommodation.

There are various associations de St Jacques in the different regions that have websites offering information.
