Temperatures in late September and early October

I am planning on walking the San Salvador and the Primitivo in late September and early October. I have previously walked the Frances and the Portuguese and was fine with just a silk liner into early October. Will that be the case with these Caminos or should I plan on a light sleeping bag?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
A light sleeping bag in my opinion. I have walked the Salvador twice. Weather in the mountains can be anything or everything in one day. The mists can come and go quickly too, even in good weather. It is very well marked now though.

It is a stunningly beautiful way!
Buen Camino!

I always carry a lightweight sleeping bag, and I have never had a camino in which I didn’t use it frequently. My first Salvador was in late September and there was snow in the mountains after Tineo. I “run cold” so I would never walk without a sleeping bag, but if you are the guy who cranks up the AC in summer, you may be fine without it. If you are the one who always carries a sweater with you to avoid freezing in the AC, take it.

There is a gender connection, and body weight influences it as well.

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
