Bari, Yes! ... I made music outside the Basilica di San Nicola once... I was trying to earn enough money for a ticket on the ferry to Patraso! Thanks for the post. It brings back wonderful memories.

I too have fond memories of Bari, as that's where my ex girlfriend is from.

But there's something almost always missing from those summaries of who Saint Nicholas was.

St Nicholas was one of the Council Fathers at the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea ... and so one of those who formalised the Canon of the Bible (though in truth, it had already existed as such since the turn of the 1st and 2nd Centuries at least), and who gave the second more detailed Credo (both Greek and Latin) to the Church.

Better presents than most from "Father Christmas" !!! :cool:
