Time of past OR future Camino
Planning June 2018
I'm planning on walking the Camino in June 2018. I want to do at least 600km of which my mother will join me in Oviedo to do the original route. I'm having trouble deciding if I should do Del Norte or the San Salvador (with maybe a little bit of the French route also).
I prefer more nature and solitude to people and cars. I'm young and fit so uphills and downhills don't scare me.

Are there any recommendations?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi, Hildegard, Welcome to the forum!

The Salvador is about 120 km, and the Primitivo about 320, I think. So with those two you would need to add on another 15o km or so. Burgos to León is about 180, so that might work.

Or if you just start on the Norte and walk down to Oviedo, Santander might work.

You should play around with distances on gronze.com Even though it is in Spanish, it is very easy to use for distances and stages.

The Salvador is one of my favorite caminos, so I am biased, but I think either would be a great introduction to the Camino! Buen camino, Laurie

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Very hilly but could be busier as it is coastal villages in the early summer.

Hi Laurie, thank you for your great feedback. I'll definitely play around on gronze
