I'm planning to walk this route beginning on 1 September, and would be interested to hear from anyone who has done this and their experience of the waymarking and "accueil pèlerin".
Five days in, I have had two good experiences of acceuil pèlerin with hosts who went over and beyond what I expected, one night in a Monastery where I shared mealtimes with two other guests, and two nights in hotels. It's good, as a solo walker, to have company in the evenings.
As part of my walk from home I was planning to walk through Switzerland on the BJ3 (Basel Jura Drei seen weg) basically, Basel - Geneva. Thence, onto the Via Gebennensis.
I love Switzerland but...
