Answering a query. The exact distance is uncertain due to walking around towns etc. But the total distance from Alicante to Burgos would be approximately 710 km. Not much more anyway. Stages? Again roughly 26 or 27 days but this would depend on the individual walking. Rest days not included. The guide is based on the observations of three pilgrims one of whom has walked this route twice.
