New albergue on Lana, in Alatoz.

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Apologies if this was already posted, there seems to be a new albergue in Alatoz, which I think is at the end of the 2nd stage after Almansa, and just before Alcala del Jucar. http://caminosantiagocaudete.blogspot.co.uk/2018/03/nuestra-asociacion-asiste-la.html?m=1

Hm,

That is good news, since Alcalá del Júcar is very touristy and it can be difficult to find accomodation during holiday seasons. It is always good to have more options about how to divide the stages. Then again, most people will want to stay in Alcalá del Júcar to admire the city (it is a popular place to have a "rest day" on the Camino) so perhaps a lot of them they will prefer to skip the albergue in Alatoz. Interesting!

The Alatoz albergue, where I slept this Thursday, is very pleasant, four very comfortable beds with plenty of blankets in a room at the back of the sports hall at the top of the village. Shower and loo, donativo - about 30 people have stayed there so far this year. There is also acogida in Alcalá del Júcar if needed, but I'm told it is just on the floor of an old schoolroom, no mattresses of blankets (but also with loo and shower), so I carried on to stay at the bullring in Casas Ibáñez, only 11km further on.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
