My camino 2013

Hello,

On my pilgrimage (May 2013) from Konstanz to SDC / MUXIA I would like to visit Santo Domingo de Silos. Has anyone an idea on what times the bus from Burgos to Santo Domingo de Silos goes.
Is there an existing footpath to Santo Domingo de Silos.

I hope to hear something.

P.S. My Route

Via Jacobi in Switzerland.
Via Gebennensis in France.
Via Podiensis in France with stops to Lourdes.
From Lourdes to Oléron Saint Marie.
Oleron St. Marie to the Col de Somport.
About the Camino Aragonés to Puente La Reina.
About the Camino Frances to Burgos.
From Burgos to Leon.
Switching to the coastal route.
Further on the Camino Primitivo to SDC / Muxia.

Greetings,

Ger.

Hello Reuver,
what a wonderful journey you're planning. I haven't hiked the Via Jacobi in Switzerland http://www.jakobsweg.ch/ but I have hiked the Alpine Pass Route from Sargans so I know that you're in for something spectacular. I think the Via Jacobi is a little less strenuous but it has it's own beauties and challenges. In May there'll be a profusion of flowers and you'll be less likely to get into difficulty with snow and trecherous scree slopes. By the time you reach Le Puy en Velay you'll be flying!

*re- switching from Leon to the coastal route: As you will already be in Leon you might consider hiking el Camino San Salvador which links Leon to Oviedo. It is one of the most beautiful Camino hikes I've come across.

*I'm sorry, I don't know anything about buses from Burgos to Santo Domingo de Silos. Perhaps you could post your question on one of the other threads eg on 'Travelling to/from Camino, or on 'Camino Frances'.

Regards,
Lovingkindness

The bus for Santo Domingo de Silos leaves the Burgos bus station at 1730, and arrives at about 1900. You have 15 minutes to get to vespers.

There is no walking route that I know of.
