So these are the " musings " the Camino has delivered so far :)

* Having " expectations " of oneself can hold self back
* Having expectations of others holds me AND them back
* Look for the signs on Camino and in Life .... They are there ... Requires attention to THE MOMENT
* if you miss a sign ... Don't worry the next one is around the corner
* If you didn't learn the lesson the first time .... Don't worry .... The lesson will return
* Judgements are a sign one is not happy with their own life ... A happy person has no need to judge others
* Everyone's path crosses for a reason .... We don't have to know the reason ... Just have to know there IS a reason .
* ALWAYS be grateful
* Eat as many pintxos as possible while in Spain ... It won't be the same at home
* March to your own drum and leave others to march to theirs
* Hills and valleys are placed there for a reason .... They will get you somewhere you may not have thought of going .
* Problems are solutions waiting to be found
* Every problem is a new opportunity
* oh and those bruises on your body ... THEY are the real COMPOSTELA
^ Make love to your feet .... They are the only things that are going to get you to the next bed

@Annie Little -

Wow, just a week in (if I remember?) and you have already garnered these insights? I'm really happy for you!

I suspect that you are going to be gathering bushels of wisdom by the time you are done.

Buen Camino!

* If someone has their wet laundry pegged to their back pack , they may have stayed at a hotel which has no laundry instead of staying at an albergue that understands the needs of pilgrims :oops: ...

... in which case share your knowledge as to how to dry laundry in such circumstances: after squeezing out as much water as possible, lay the clothes neatly on the towel provided by the establishment, then roll it up tightly and wring the towel/clothes 'sausage' out as much as possible. That method takes an amazing amount of water out of hand washed clothes. Then hang them up to dry, using the elastic clothes line that you remembered to bring. By morning, things will be dry, so no need to parade your smalls before all the world!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
...good list, Annie. It sounds like you did your research before you went, and set off with an amazingly good attitude. Buen camino

Today's Musings :D
* Do NOT get " cocky" if the first week passes without blisters , pain or injury .
The Camino and your feet are working together and will provide a lesson in humility when they see fit
* Do not put your foot first aide at the bottom of the pack .... That's just asking for the above mentioned lesson in humility
* If your feet speak you better LISTEN
:rolleyes::eek:
