Hi everyone!
I'm finding it impossible to book a flight frim madrid to my starting point in vigo in May. It seems 3 weeks in May have NO flights. Does anyone know why? What's the next quickest way to get there?
Thank you in advance!
Sheila

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
Hmm, I'm seeing flights. Trying searching on 'google flights'. When I do so, Iberia, Air Europa and Ryan Air are indicating direct flights.

Yes, I just looked at Google Flights and I see the same 3 week gap. I tried searching on Iberia and they are also not showing flights. I looked for some "news", but don't see anything right now. A mystery...

Looks like about 3 or 4 trains per day Madrid to Vigo. It is about 4.5 hours.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I really appreciate you. I guess I'll take a bus. Or would you think flying into santiagi and taking a taxi to vigo is better?
Just take a train from Madrid to Vigo. Depending on the train it takes about 4-5 hours, which will be about the same as or less than flying via Santiago, and it’s more convenient and probably cheaper.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I have flights booked and paid for from London Stansted direct to Vigo on 30 May with Ryanair. My flight is no longer showing on the Ryanair website and, in fact, there are no flights showing on this route for the 3 weeks 6 May to 30 May. Having just spent the best part of an hour queueing and then chatting online with Ryanair they have reassured me that as I have not heard otherwise my flight is on schedule. And if a flight does not appear on their website it will be because the flight is sold out. I cannot have a refund because my flight is going ahead as planned.
So I can now totally relax knowing that despite the reports by reputable Spanish newpapers and the absence of flights on websites I will be flying in to Vigo on the 30th of May.
What could possibly go wrong.

It is a beautiful and comfortable trip by train. My husband and I did it last May...roundtrip.

LOL good luck. Maybe we'll see each on the train.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Hi. You could fly to Porto and take a bus from the airport directly to Vigo. I've taken the bus before. Easy peasy!
