Lighting a Virtual candle in the cathedral in Santiago

Hi all - now, you most likely already know about this but I have just discovered it.

One can light a candle in the cathedral - a virtual candle that burns for 48 hours - are asked to leave the reason why - and it is free, though you may make a donation. There are currently candles lit from people in 81 countries.

The main page states - "Lighting a candle is a gesture of spirituality around the world. Take a moment to think about your intentions for lighting a virtual candle: saying a prayer, honouring your loved ones who have passed away, in solidarity with a cause, a promise, a personal intention or to congratulate a friend."

Buen Camino to you all

Thank you for this @David.
Three candles lit for three of our team with Covid.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hello, I'm not doing the Camino (yet), so I don't know if this question fits in this forum... But I'm looking for advice and I think this is the best place. I'm planning a three or four days trip...
A nice read 🙏🏻 https://www.elcorreogallego.es/santiago/2024/06/04/historia-trampillas-techos-casas-rua-vilar-nova-santiago-103321171.html
