Le Puy route - public transport out from Nasbinals / Aubrac

New Member
I am starting the route later this summer, planning to walk in stages over the next 10 years.

Only have 4 days this time and then flying home from Rodez.

Is it feasible, if fit, to walk to Espalion in 4 days?

If not, is it possible to get transport out of say Nasbinals / Aubrac towards Rodez? If so, what and when?

Thanks

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

pushing it, I would have thought - it's 150km or so with some stiff climbs of 500-800m

doubt it. If you're walking in term time, there may well be some sort of school bus you might be able to hitch a ride on. Otherwise, try and organise a taxi

I would suggest aiming for Aumont-Aubrac where there is a train service. After all, if you're taking 10 years over the trip, what's the hurry? 8)

I am trying to find a Mobile App that can help me find trails from Le puy Valley to Cahors. Would appreciate good advice and guidance.
Sorry I have been too tired to post anything. Here is a very brief summary and a few pics. Le Puy to Figeac - 250 km approx - 14 days - average 17.8 km per day (top speed for me 😂) Beautiful...
