I am a Norwegian guy and I am the one that has started http://www.santiago-today.com. How in the world did a Norwegian guy end up in Santiago de Compostela?

It is a long story, here it is in short. I studies business in a college in Norway when I got the chance to study at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington State. I went, and meet my wife (she is from Lugo, Galicia) and we both finished our studies at WSU.

Before returning to Europe we both worked a few years in the US. While in the US I was doing a lot of research on Santiago online. I did not find much in English, and found out that there was a need for something. Once we moved to Spain, while learning Spanish, I decided to start santiago-today.com. Both as "something-to-do" while my Spanish got better and maybe it could also give me a job here in the future.

Now, almost one year later I am still plugging along with the site. More a hobby than anything else, but it is something that I love to do.

What about el camino? I want to do it once. But right now, we are fixing up an old stone house just outside Santiago and I need to focus on this and my other smaller projects. But one day I will take the bus to France and walk home.

Welcome to Santiago,
Ivar
