Has anyone else used this and has it worked for them or is there a better app to be using to track your mileage/time?

Map my walk and Livetrekker.
Livetrekker shows the map even without wifi.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Do those need data?

IMG_3020.jpg I used the Strava app to log nearly every kilometer of my Camino into my online log (uploaded each evening on wifi). Doing so came in handy during any given day to know how far we had come and to help us make decisions on how much further we might go that day. When back home, I downloaded (the geek in me) the .gpx files, edited them into one file and then loaded that file into MotionX-GPS to create one map.

I was shocked at how well S Health worked to track distance actually. Doesn't help with mapping but to track distance it's solid.

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
I use S health for walking and my wife has the fitbit with gps. The S health is usually dead on accurate with her fancy watch.

Yesterday I discovered that my iPhone has a Health app that I have totally ignored. When I opened it I found data in Dashboard that has tracked my daily steps, walking and running distance, and flights climbed daily for the past year. Since I carry my iPhone with me at all times I was intrigued to review my activity by the week or month for the past year. I plan to pay closer attention to this free extra that I didn't even know I had. Like many I gave up using Fitbit after about 6 months once I was aware of how much I usually walked each day. Coincidentally this was around the same time that I read the hilarious account of Fitbit obsession by David Sedaris in the New Yorker.

I use Map My Walk without using data when I am hiking - no cell coverage in a lot of places - it doesn't update quite as quickly as when it is on wifi or data, but it works.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
Reposted from Wise Pilgrim comments, was hiking with this pilgrim. Don’t follow app,go just a bit further past to well marked turn, not the one with spray painted arrow on stop sign:
