MODS - if this is in the wrong place, please put it were it belongs. Thanks.

Two weeks ago I misplaced my phone at MAD T4 in the check-in/ticketing area, and the police helped find it. Is it possible to get a report from them, and how would I do that?
Please, no comments or questions, just the information I'm asking for.
Thanks!!

Glad that you found it! But unless the police wrote up some kind of official report (which I think you would have received a copy of at the time), I don’t think there’s any way to get documentation of this good outcome. Do you have names and/or ”badge numbers?” I am just grasping at straws here, but think the odds of this are unlikely.

Thanks, @peregrina2000 ! Was afraid of this. No, I didn't think to get badge numbers. They spent about an hour with me retracing my steps - with folks in the "backroom" following on cameras. Eventually, someone who had my phone was brought to me. So grateful!

@OTH86, if you are looking for a route to express your gratitude to the crew that helped you in then a twat, twirt, twaggle or whatever “socials” they’re on will chirp them up. Well not actually the people that helped you but some layer of management will be mildly chuffed. I’ve no doubt that you said your thank you to the crew that delivered you. That was all that was required.

They’ll have gone home with memories of, at least, one happy moment from their working day.

So, I understand you don’t want any questions, you’re free to ignore me.

The Policía Local, Policía Nacional and Guarda Civil are all present at Adolfo Suarez. Which do you want to contact?
One of the Policias - whoever is at MAD T4. I went first to the GC, but was sent to policia.

I think you are right. As the phone was not stolen but lost and then found I doubt there was any official report made.

When my bag was handed in at the police station, I had to sign a form to say it had been returned and I wasn't missing anything. In the OP's case, though, it sounds like the phone was never in the possession of the police, so they likely didn't make a report, but it's still worth contacting them to check if they can give you something.
