some and then more. see my signature.
Say for example you asked a question or made a call for help, receive multiple answers and now you're safely back home - but days, weeks, even months later you keep getting responses to your original question. ?

Report your own post so a moderator can lock it.

You can edit or delete a post for about few days. You cannot delete your own post at all, if it is the first in the thread, because it would result in deletion of all the other replies.

If you want your thread closed (or deleted) for some reason, you can Report it to the moderators, as @SabsP explains.

However, keep in mind that you don't "own" the thread and all the replies - it has become a community discussion. Just because one person got their answer does not mean that the information should be removed from the forum where it could be useful to others. After all, that is the idea behind the forum - to help one another. Some threads are continued or revived for years. Sometimes this is very interesting. Sometimes it is not - in these cases if info is outdated or there is a newer place for discussion, the moderators may then lock the thread.

Unwatching your own thread (or changing the settings so you don't watch any of your own threads) seems to be the simplest and best solution if the ongoing notifications are bothering you.

We generally close threads when the OP requests it, but keep in mind that sometimes the discussion is something that will help many others too. It's always a balance between the OP's interests and the general forum interest.

Edit: OOPS, two of us responded at the same time.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I'm afraid I don't understand what an OP is. I'm guessing that it's someone who writes on here ...

Just ask the Moderators politely and they'll happily do so, unless there's a broader interest in the thread beyond your own.
