Dawn of a new Day

Active Member
Greetings fellow hikers. This is Dawn from Victoria. I am very excited to be planning this hike. I think alittle crazy to be hiking from St.Jean PdP to Finisterre around may 15 of this year! Ihave 5 weeks off, i am asking for another week off work. I want to have some relaxing days to do the "touristy thing" Is 5 weeks enough??? I am a letter carrier, so walking is my job, go figure, i want to walk on my holidays.Oh well i like to do crazy things.Makes life interesting.
This is a fantastic forum. Thanks for all who share.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi and welcome Dawn!

There is "good-crazy" and "bad-crazy". Walking from France to Santiago would be in the "good-crazy" category :)

The Confraternity of Saint James has a good an informative page on your camino here:
http://www.csj.org.uk/route-camino-frances.htm

The route takes, on average, 4 - 5 weeks to walk.

... and then out to Finisterre. If you find yourself out of time when you get to Santiago, you can always take the bus out to Finisterre.

I was out at Finisterre last weekend (I drove out), have a look at some pictures here:
