Not sure where to post this so mods, please move if you have a better place.

If you were following our thread on the Aragones, you will know that Phil sat on his glasses on the plane by accident and bent them so it was difficult to read through the bifocals.

Today we were walking as tourists on the boardwalk area of the Playa de Zurriola in San Sebastian. Lots of pilgrims, tourists, and surfers there. We were headed into the old town and on the North side of the street before you reach the bridge is an optical shop. It is right on the Camino!

The owner "did an operation" on Phil's specs and he can see again. It was 9.50 euros, but money well spent. The owner said his wife is from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. (Later we found another optical shop right next to our AirBnB on the Gros district.)

Had a snack of olives, fuet, and some kind of bread shaped like giant cheerios outside of a bar. Couldn't eat it all so shared with four German girls sitting next to us.

My husband loves ice cream and a desserts, but I don't like ice cream or dessert really. We compromised and one of our pincho stops today was for him to get a piece of Basque cheesecake. I make it at home for special family gatherings but this today was especially light and even I had a taste!
