We walked Italy’s Way of St. Francis in April and May and loved it. We started in La Verna and ended at The Vatican. Beautiful, lots of climbing, very few other trekkers. If you want to see our blogging about it, see carryoncouple.com

You might like to consider St Thomas Way in Wales/England before they pull up the drawbridge and refuse entry to all "furrynors".
That might just make it more interesting - extra PilgrimPoints for swimming the Severn or the Wye? Bonus points if you do it in big leather boots and wearing a 70L pack? And the plan is actually to drop the M4 tolls altogether by the end of this year to encourage more of you furrynors to spend your cash in our neck of the woods :)
