Camino del Norte - May/June 2023
Hi, I'm Sandra. Doing my first Camino (northern route) starting from Irun on 27 May to Santiago. My sister will be joining me for approx the last 150km and plans to start in Mondonedo. She will be flying into Santiago and then hopes to catch a bus/train to meet me. She was hoping to arrive on a Saturday but seems there are no bus schedules on the weekend. If anyone has done this or has advice I'd be most grateful. Many thanks.

As a possible alternative, she could take the train to Baamonde via A Coruna then a short taxi ride to Mondonedo. Or she could join you at Baamonde where there is an small hotel (KM101) with an excellent restaurant. The chef/owner there does a fantastic steak which was so big I didn't think I could finish it. I did.

The hotel's name, I understand, is based on the distance from Santiago so would qualify as a starting point for a Compostela.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
