Finding the statues that mark the “half way” point near Sahagun

Time of past OR future Camino

I’ve had to adjust my Camino (life happens) and will be starting in Sahagun. I’d like to start with a picure of myself between the two columns besides the trail. In the hope that if I ever come back and start in SJPD I can finish at the same spot. I know that it’s just before Sahagun but how far? I’m having trouble finding it on the apps. Is it reasonable to think I can walk to and from Sahagun in an hour or so the afternoon I arrive? Can I take a taxi? Where do I tell them to take me?

Ah! But in in Sahagun proper, between the Arco de San Benito and the Rio Cea bridge, there is another monument appearing to compete for the half-way honors! I attach a photo of handsome me posing beside it last October..
Oh yes it is marked as "centro del camino" here:
Several centros ? This Camino is really magical !
Anyway, if you want a half CCapture d’écran 2024-04-14 à 17.44.14.pngompostela, you have to go to the church of the Virgen Peregrina, where you can see the model of this stamp:

And here I was hoping that the halfway point of the biggest Camino of all was being 50 years old!!!!

When i was walking the Frances a US pilgrim proudly showed me a half-way cert she bought.

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Just to note that all of these various "halfway" points are marking halfway between Roncesvalles and Santiago de Compostela. If you didn't start in Roncesvalles, it won't be halfway for you. It may be more than halfway, if you started further than Roncesvalles (e.g. SJPP) or less than halfway if you started closer (e.g. Pamplona). Of course, if you were smart enough to start in Roncesvalles.... :)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

It’s at the Ermita de La Virgen Chapel just before you come into Sahagun. 👍

Because the Spanish don't see the point of going into France, just to walk back again into Spain, as our Basque friends counselled us years ago

This monument is my recollection of the halfway point (from 2017). It was just before Sahagun, we turned off the path to the right and found this.

Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
Reposted from Wise Pilgrim comments, was hiking with this pilgrim. Don’t follow app,go just a bit further past to well marked turn, not the one with spray painted arrow on stop sign:
