Madrid being the diplomatic centre of Spain, there are a host of embassies and consulates to approach for an unusual sello.

They’ll hate me for this, but I pay my taxes so why not! It takes a bit of persistence to get through security without an appointment and explaining why the consulate should be in the ‘souvenir’ business isn’t easy.

the British consulate is right on the Camino de Madrid route. Other nationalities are available.
