Compostela question - use credential from last year?

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances 2022 and 2023
Hi good folks,

Last year I obtained a credential in SJPP and walked to Burgos (May-June). This year I will resume the walk in Burgos and hopefully get to Santiago. 1) Should I re-register and get a new credential or can I continue to use the credential I obtained last year? 2) Is there an office in Burgos in case I need to get a new credential?

Thanks much. We start walking again end of April 2023. So excited!!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
You can use the same credencial. Many people walk in stages over several years. Just make sure you get your credencial stamped and dated in Burgos again when you return if you think you will want a distance certificate when you reach Santiago.
Thanks so much for the clarification.

My understanding is that you can continue using that one you obtained in SJPP, as the credencial & the stamps you accumulated do not expire. In fact, I have a Camino buddy who was forced to abandon his Camino due to a knee injury when we were walking it in 2022, who resumed his Camino from Burgos and is currently at Ponferrada.

I am so excited for you, Buen Camino.
