Canoing the Cele?

Planning to do the Cele variant in mid September and I've read some threads about actually renting a canoe for a 1/2 day...or kayak? Where would be the best place to "put in" and also get out? I think that could be a fun way to see the river.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I have not done this, but those who do generally start in Marcilhac. There is a company that arranges the trip, rents the canoe or kayak, and transports your luggage to take out point.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
While I haven't boated the Cele, I did boat one day of the Rhone. The boat-rental people arrange the entry and exit points, and will transport your bag betwixt. It made a lovely break, especially in this summer heat!

It was incredibly hot when walked the Camino so we did this variation in September so hired a canoe for half a day. Can’t remember where we put in. Yes they carried our bag. Some areas were shallow so you might need to ask about stream levels. Exciting going down the chute at the side of the weir. Enjoy

Canoed from Marcilhac to Cabrerets in May. Costs about Eu25/person. Great fun, especially going over dams (water slides). Ask for details when you arrive at your gîte.

Thanks so much. We want to go one way and take our packs in canoes with us... I’ll have to see if that works. And yes, loving the route. In Estaing tonight👍

Ok, no canoing possible at the moment. There is not enough water in the Cele river :(

I'm starting the Le Puy in early July hopefully. In my efforts to communicate with the gite owners, I am using email as my French is almost non existent. I'm getting lots of replies outlining...
I am trying to find a Mobile App that can help me find trails from Le puy Valley to Cahors. Would appreciate good advice and guidance.
Sorry I have been too tired to post anything. Here is a very brief summary and a few pics. Le Puy to Figeac - 250 km approx - 14 days - average 17.8 km per day (top speed for me 😂) Beautiful...
