This was a holy year, and my impression is that lots of groups walked in organized fashion. Church groups are probably the most likely.

I have also walked the route and met exactly one pilgrim before the monastery, and zero pilgrims after that on the Vadiniense into Mansilla de las Mulas. I think our experiences are more typical for what people will find.
