Quick question:
The albergue in the movie the Way where the main character has the outdoor dinner and meets the Canadian girl; what is the name of it?
I understood that it was an actual refugio that is run by Americans.

I could not find the answer to this anywhere on the forum.

Thanks.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I stayed there two nights ago and manager Josef had loads of great story's about when Martin and Emilio first walked in to the hotel. I'm in Estella tonight and moving west at a rapid pace.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

It looks to be a lovely place but beyond this pilgrims budget.
Yes it is a bit pricey. Hurt my wallet a bit to stay there but wanted or needed to get a private room room as I felt a bit ill from a bad sandwich. Buen Camino. Ed

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Half Dome thanks for the info. It is about where we planned to stop Day 2, so I wanted to at least stop and see it if not stay. I don't think anyone is being critical, just sharing that it is not a municipal refugio, so don't assume it will be 10 euros.

Where did you end up the next night?

Buen Camino!

I've been to so many albergues they all come together. Tonight I am in the hotel Arcos near Los Arcos as nothing else was available when I limped into town soaking wet. Even the albergues where full. God is truly testing us out on the Camino with all the rain.

Is there a list of albergues that also have private rooms on the Camino Frances? Gracias.
