Another option is to send your things to Santiago via Correos and pick up when you arrive.
You can either use Paq Peregrino and have it held at the post office in Santiago.

I just checked out photos of the Viana correos office. They depict a rather full selection of boxes and other required shipping material. You should be fine there. That said, their hours indicate a daily closure of 2:30 PM.

Santiago post office. And yes they did have boxes and tape. Hope you are likewise lucky at the Correos in Viana.
