    Snoring. AARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!

As a sometimes snorer, and one who has had his toe pulled on occasion, and who has investigated alleviation practices without permanent success, I would state as follows. If you are going to stay in a hostel realize as a fact that snorers come with the territory, indeed expect there to be...

Part 2. Ziggy, Me, and Rosti to the Wiffletree. Comes Perambulation, Articulation, and Tauredunum latterly.

I fondly remember wandering around the Agora in Athens, and imagining being with Socrates and his students in his open air university. And going up alongside the Acropolis to the spot where St Paul and his friends came across a shrine to the Greek's so called "Unknown God". There were so many...

Part 2. Ziggy, Me, and Rosti to the Wiffletree. Comes Perambulation, Articulation, and Tauredunum latterly.

Due to length restraints, I’ve had to to split the story into two posts. I find it no longer ‘flows’. I suggest reading Part 1 again, link just below, before reading Part 2. Regards Gerard Part 1 link...

Iberia, by James Michener, a worthy read before, during, or after a camino

Indeed Yes. It's well worth a read. I guess its around 30 years he's been gone. It even played a part in a story I wrote here a few years ago. https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/an-iberian-indiscretion.65455/

Travel from Paris to St Jean Pied de Port

The locals have always called the Bayonne to SJPDP train the "Valley Rattler". The old train sure used to be one, and the name has "stuck". It's service was, and is still somewhat erratic.

Ziggy, Me, and Rosti to the Whiffletree. Comes Perambulation, Articulation, and Tauredunum latterly.

PART 1. It was in 990AD that Pope John XV announced that Ziggy was to be appointed the 27th Archbishop of Canterbury. So, over 1000 years ago, and there had been 26 Archbishops already....Blimey. Ziggy had been educated at Glastonbury Abbey, where he eventually became a monk. He went on to...

    Del Norte

Hi Marianne! How nice to catch you here. I like that northern coastline so much. But it always appear a little tough for me, especially starting from Irun. Another one I am investigating is the Arragones, starting at Canfranc Station, winding down thru the hill country to meeting the CF just...

    Paris Accommodation

ADVENIAT - https://adveniat-paris.org/en/ I never stay anywhere else. I get the metro to Gare Montparnasse then catch the 7.15ish morning train from to Bayonne. At Bayonne station, the valley rattler to SJPDP waits until the train from Paris arrives.

    A little rant about entitlement

I get grumpy about things now and them. Don't take any notice. Or give me a tongue lashing...gentle or stern. Probly need one. But I don't have a feeling of entitlement. I'm just grumpy. Regards? Gerard
