If it’s the Pilgrim’s Office who are recommending Valcarlos, I would strongly urge you to follow their advice. Rescues on the Napoleon route in bad weather are not uncommon.

They are expecting snow at altitude. Talking to other pilgrims, some are going Napoleon anyway. Thoughts? I was hoping to go Napoleon myself. I might add, lots of communication barriers at the pilgrims office. Most volunteers didn’t speak...
