Time of past OR future Camino

Hello all, we’ve just finished the Camino Frances (from Sarria) but before we head home we’d love to visit Finnisterre. Are there buses from either A Coruna or Santiago? Going to be in both places so either suit. Can’t get much info online! Thanks

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The Xunta portal at www.bus.gal might be useful if you are confident you can do some simple translation from Spanish or Galician. The link will bring up a search form. Change the language to Castellano and fill in the Origen, Destino and Fecha fields, then click on Buscar. Note that the Fecha box won't work if you use your browser to translate the page.

I'm reading this and had the same question. Do you need to book ahead for the bus or are there always plenty of seats?

Those two questions have no clear yes/no answers. I think Monbus supports bookings on their site, but some other companies do not. I found that if there is a ticket office, turning up a little early on the day and purchasing a ticket there makes sure you have a seat. Otherwise you need to purchase the ticket on the bus, when there is always a small risk that the bus will be full. I didn't do enough bus travel to work out whether there were times this was more likely to happen, so I'm not in a position to suggest when might be the best times to avoid a full bus.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Ok, thank you! I did a search and read: "You can buy them in advance at the bus station or from the bus driver. There are no reserved seats, and the line to leave Fisterra can be long." I'm guessing there is no bus station at Muxia.

Both Muxia and Fisterra have a bus stop, not a bus station.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

The starting point input is santiago de compostela (estacion intermodal)
Destination input is Fisterra (estacion de Autobuses)

Were you thinking of a Guided Tour… on a bus… or just doing by Public bus? I wasn’t sure how I was reading the question— you’ve probably come and gone already— Buen camino 🫶🏻

Just over a week ago I caught the Monbus from Santiago to Finesterre. I was early and bought a ticket at the bus station. As it turned out the bus was not full. I also caught the bus from Muxia to Santiago. I bought the ticket from the driver. Again the bus was not full.
May I ask how long it was to go from Santiago to Finesterre, Muxia and back to Santiago?

Can anyone clarify this for me please?
When everyone is saying “Bus Station”… they really mean the “big new bus/train — intermodal- station-?”… I’ve read it’s about 7kms to the center of SDC?
How close is this bus/train station to SDC Airport and the “center of town?”
I’m flying INTO SDC when I arrive but Leaving via the Train to Madrid- I’m trying to internalize in my head… where everything is at— and thinking about if I need to grab Taxis and stuff -🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼Everyone’s “feet on the ground experience” is much appreciated 😃

You need to get a better range of informants! It's right on the southern edge of the city, and around 1 km walk from the Praza do Obradoiro.

The airport to the east of the city, and is around 15 km by road, depending on where you start.

Google Maps says that it's 1.7 km from Praza do Obradoiro.

Gotcha… it’s 1.7kms… that’s why I was thinking 7kms🤪🤷🏻‍♀️—I was totally just doing it from memory…
Duh… of course I use Google maps at “home…why not on vacation too—and Darn.. it looks like Google has got it done nicely 😁”- thanks for the clarification and reminder to use Google.

OOhhh: Many more departures now than earlier years! I've taken the bus 2 times: A 3 hour nice ride. Both times I just showed up at the bus station without reservation. Was all OK. From Finisterre, you just line up at the bus stop (no station). The bus stop was, at least in in my time, in the centre (which is very small), besides the communal albergue.

It is a charming little fishing village.
