The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
No, not at all. A sleeping bag liner will be sufficient. We've walked our Caminos in August and September and never needed to use one. June will be warmer than those months. Most albergues have blankets anyway if there is ever an out of season cold night.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
If sleeping in albergues there is no season in which I would not have a very light down sleeping bag in my pack.
I, too, carry a light weight 1-season sleeping bag with me all the time regardless of month. My 1.1 pound bag is probably only a few ounces heavier then a liner, but provides warmth if needed. Not getting a good night’s sleep because I was cold is the last thing I want knowing that I have to get up in the morning and walk 12-15 miles.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I have walked in June and July with an army poncho liner and my husband used a Sea to Summit bag liner that was orange with a reflective lining in 2016. We were mostly ok. Occasionally needed a blanket if available early on. Some albergues have blankets. Some don't. If you are in a hotel or mostly private rooms you will have sheets, bedding and towels.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Depends on if you are a warm or cold sleeper and what the night temperatures are doing while you are there. I was FREEZING at night in June/July 2021 (it was unseasonably cold that year). I had been fooled into believing night temperatures were going to be too warm for my bag after the first 4 warm nights - sent my bag home in Pamplona - and totally regretted that decision and was miserable trying to sleep most nights. I was also cold in late May/June 2022 - but not quite as bad. I bring a silk liner and a sleeping bag. Blankets are not always available. I learned that the hard way. And yes - I am a cold sleeper, but most people were cold in 2021 and almost everyone used sleeping bags nightly.

Hello
I have walked in April, May, June, July, September and October and each time I have only used a sleeping bag liner. I walked in May/June last year with family and alberques were supplying blankets to those who felt the cold.
Buen Camino.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Of course, you can do whatever you want,
but personally I would listen to those
who have walked more than one Camino and have more experience.
I was you on my first Camino.
I wanted to walk the VDLP in midsummer.
I knew it would be hot, but I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley and was used to 110 degree weather.
I figured I'd be fine.
Then there were a couple of folks who had done it and survived.
They said "Go for it!"
So we went.
A few days later we were having firemen bring us water because the fountains were dry
and we were in the middle of nowhere.
We could have easily died.
All because I didn't listen.
But I learned.
And you will too.
Being cold won't kill you.
But being warm sure will be a better experience.
One Camino doesn't give you experience - the conditions, including the weather, change from year to year.
Those of us who have walked many Caminos know it because we've experienced it.
Now I listen to THOSE people.
Just sayin'

Walked a few times including May/ June
& often a mix of warm and cool nights, including cold nights. I was happy to use my own bag.
Only occasionally were there Blankets to use. I Understand more albergues may now have blankets but it very unpredictable.
I choose not to use Albergues blankets that were in constant rotation with pilgrims.
A low cost sleeping bag that open out as a quilt is option for comfort & peace of mind.

Depends on weight too. Is the added weight of a bag over the whole trip = the nights when you had to improvise to keep warm.
