I just came across this video on YouTube- has some beautiful photos of the route from Le Puy en Velay to Cahors- including some striking ones in Conques.

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
I've spent many years seeing such places in imagination or in illustrations. Now I have to remind myself that I was there, in Estaing and Conques, and that I was able to ramble and linger to my heart's content. Just last year. And this year I stood in Leon's cathedral and atop O Cebreiro in snow!

Sometimes, against statistics, figuring and all likelihood, you get what you want. More things in heaven and earth etc? (I could mention a certain rugby result to prove my point.)

Anyway, Nomad, great link.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
What a stunning video, thank you. Has anyone any idea of the time of year it was taken?

It must be well into spring- perhaps mid-May? The trees have that lighter green colour of spring, and near the end you can see fields that look ploughed ready for crops to be planted. I can see an abundance of daffodils on the Aubrac Plateau, and the cows are out in the fields. When I walked in this region mid-April to early May, it was much more wintry on the Aubrac Plateau, and there were only a few daffodils out, and no cows in the fields.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi there, I'm considering walking from Le Puy to St. Jean next spring if I can get my French up to par. I'm looking on advice on a few things: - Would it be too cool and rainy to start walking...
