Buen Camino! Remember to stop and smell the flowers, take photos and rest your feet, remove your socks at every opportunity, listen to your body and treat your Camino as you would any silent companion: Don't rush it, don't make it do things it doesn't want to, and your Camino will get you there safely.

Enjoy Les. Be happy when the sun shines, feel blessed when the rain is gentle, breath deeply when the wind blows, love your body when it endures, be courageous when the mud palls, feel triumphant when you reach each village, savour the wine, the food, the friendships.

Les, best wishes on your camino, I know you've had a few small setbacks in your preparation but you've prepared carefully and diligently and are starting with your eyes wide open - all the better to enjoy your 1st camino, have to fess up and own to a little feeling of jealousy as that sense of wonderment of a 1st camino is never quite the same on following ones.

Buen Camino. I might see you in Santiago. :^)

I, with my wife did the Frances for the second time this year and I also have experienced something that I had never experienced before, something that has changed my life in so many ways and I go on about it sooooo much that my wife can't stand to listen to me anymore, but the good news is that I believe that I have it under control. What had such an effect upon my life? a verruca.
