Pamplona, EFE's book "Wine tourism in the Camino de Santiago", a guide for the traveler. First Edition: Navarra"was the winner of the Gourmand Wine Book Awards 2010 in the category of Best Book on European saw.

By Jose Antonio Cruz and published by the Wine Route of the Camino de Santiago in Navarre (consisting of wineries and tourist enterprises) compete for the title in Paris Gourmand Best in the World, which recognize the best in the world, as Gourmand are considered the "Oscar"of the books on the menu in the different categories of wine and cooking.

"Wine tourism in the Camino de Santiago", presented in Madrid in the last Fitur tourism fair, is a guide for the traveler who takes the road as a route to discover the cuisine, wines and wineries that are in it.

The first edition has addressed the Camino de Santiago in its passage through Navarre but is expected to continue the project to cover all communities through which passes.

Can I recommend that wine lovers try the lovely Albarino white wine which you can get as you get nearer to Santiago and Rias Baxas, the small area west of Santiago, near the coast where this wine comes from. We had some very nice ones from the label Martin Codax
