Why is Saturday a holiday?

Can someone tell me why Saturday is a holiday in Pamplona?
I was just informed the hotel reception will be closed.

Hi Annie! Have checked and Googled this, and can find no Spanish or Pamplona local bank holidays listed for 7th May.
Maybe the reception is closed for hotel reasons - staff shortage, redecoration etc.
Sorry can't help - but I've tried!

I'm not sure Spain needs a reason to declare a holiday. It just seems to be spontaneous eruption of frivolity!

The Saturday night I spent in Pamplona a week ago, people were on the street partying and singing until 4 AM. Ear plugs didn't work that well trying to get to sleep.

Can someone tell me why Saturday is a holiday in Pamplona?

May 7th is not a holiday in Pamplona, nor in the municipality neither on the outskirts.

May i ask which is that hotel?
